What is Avascular Necrosis? - avascular necrosis treatment
Last year I had a total hip replacement with AVN have. But my doctor has given me much information about the following questions:
Can it transmitted? Now I have pain in my lower back and hip and knee.
What treatment can be given? Diseases less evasive best, as I also dilated cardiomyopathy, and others.
What effect does this to me for the rest of my life?
Finally, what can I do to my own body because of the AVN to help.
Serious replies only please.
Thank you very much,

Hi
Avascular necrosis (sometimes called osteo-necrosis) can be caused by anything that interferes with the blood supply to the bone.
If its caused by a trauma it will be localised. If its caused by say excessive alcohol or heavy use of steroid it may not be. Deep sea divers may also suffer from more widespread avascular necrosis.
Its not so much that it spreads from one place to another but that it affects different places.
There's a bit more information on my site if you're interested.
Good luck
